Notify your team · Google Chat

Send the right mailbox alert to a Google Chat space.

Connect can post a one-way alert to a Google Chat space through an incoming webhook. Your team gets a useful notification while the mailbox’s contents stay in Stacksona Connect.

For Google Workspace teams that use Chat spaces for operational handoffs and want a clear signal when an agent needs human attention.

Set it up

Add an incoming webhook to a Chat space

Google Chat webhooks appear inside eligible Workspace spaces and may be controlled by an administrator.

  1. Confirm Workspace support

Use a Google Workspace account and space where incoming webhooks are enabled. Your administrator may need to allow webhook apps for the organization.

  2. Open the target space

In the Google Chat desktop app, open the space menu and choose Apps & integrations → Add webhooks.

  3. Name and save the webhook

Give the webhook a name that identifies Stacksona Connect, save it, then open the webhook’s menu and copy its link.

  4. Add the URL in Connect

Open mailbox Notifications, choose Google Chat, paste the webhook URL, and send a test. Verify the message appears in the intended space.

A one-way route into a shared space

The webhook posts; it does not read the conversation.

Google Chat’s incoming webhook is a destination for messages. Connect uses it to publish alerts and receives no access to the space’s history or replies. Keep discussion and decisions in the tools your team already uses, and make the actual approval in Connect.

Make alerts easy to act on

Give the owner a signal without copying the email.

Connect’s notification points your team to a pending action or mailbox event. The agent’s message content remains behind the mailbox’s own read and human-release controls.

Check Workspace policy before creating the space hook.

Google Chat’s incoming webhook posts to a Workspace space. It does not read replies or grant Connect access to the organization’s chat history. Check whether your Workspace administrator allows the feature before planning around it.

Google Chat is a one-way alert destination; Connect remains the place for mailbox access and decisions.
