Notify your team · Discord

Let your Discord channel know when an agent needs you.

A Discord webhook can carry important Connect notices into a team channel. Choose a destination where the right person will see it, then verify the message with a test.

For small product teams, developer communities, and operators who coordinate in Discord and want the owner to see a Connect event quickly.

Set it up

Create a webhook for the Discord channel

Discord’s server settings create a channel webhook with authority to post only at that destination.

  1. Open the server settings

In the Discord server, open Server Settings → Integrations → Webhooks. Choose the server where the mailbox team coordinates.

  2. Choose a channel for the notices

Create a webhook, give it a recognizable name, and select the channel that should receive Connect alerts. Avoid a public channel if the notices could expose internal operations.

  3. Copy the webhook URL

Copy the Discord webhook address. Keep the URL private; it includes a token that allows posting to the selected channel.

  4. Connect and test it

In Stacksona Connect, open the mailbox notification settings, choose Discord, paste the webhook URL, and send a test. Confirm the message landed in the channel you selected.

No bot installation

Discord receives a post from a channel webhook.

Connect sends a one-way notification to your selected Discord channel. It does not join your server as a bot, read channel messages, or grant an agent access to Discord conversations.

For teams already working in Discord

Keep attention in the channel; keep decisions in Connect.

A short alert is useful when the agent needs review or a protected message has arrived. Connect remains the system that shows the request and enforces who may release or approve it.

Limit who can see the channel and the webhook URL.

A Discord webhook token allows posting to its configured channel. It is not a bot account and does not read messages. Keep the destination private enough for the review audience, and rotate the webhook if the link is exposed.

Discord gets the alert post; your mailbox stays governed inside Connect.

Questions people ask about Discord

Discord channel setup and privacy

Do I need a Discord bot?

No. Create an incoming webhook in the channel’s server settings and add that webhook URL in Connect.

Can Discord users approve an email from the notification?

The notification directs the owner to Connect. It does not provide an approval button or authorize Discord users to act on the mailbox.

Why did the webhook URL fail?

Connect expects a canonical Discord webhook URL on `discord.com/api/webhooks/...` without query parameters. Copy the webhook URL directly from Discord.
